Given the current uncertainty of in-person college fairs being able to occur this fall, VACRAO made the difficult but necessary decision to move to a virtual format during our traditional travel period. It will be different than what we are used to, but we believe this will offer you the best, and safest opportunity to give students in Virginia access to information about your institutions.

We are excited to announce that VACRAO will be partnering with StriveScan to produce our Virtual College Exploration program for all Virginia students this fall.

The goal of the VACRAO Virtual College Exploration program is to provide students with a wealth of college search information, allow them to browse and learn about different colleges, and ask questions of admissions counselors, all in a safe, flexible, online format.

The virtual program will consist of both panel presentations and a more traditional college fair experience, where students will be able to get exposure and interact with a large number of colleges and universities in an evening.

The panels presentations will consist of college knowledge sessions on topics such as finding a college that fits, choosing a major, tips for writing a college essay, and more, presented by admission counselors.

StriveScan hosted their nationwide Strive Virtual College Exploration program this spring and it was an overwhelming success with 180,000 students and 500 colleges and universities from around the world. VACRAO and other associations are partnering with StriveScan to bring a more tailored version of this program to our members this fall, designed specifically for students from Virginia.
